Not strictly work related, but I make fighting robots. You know, like the ones on Robot Wars that used to be on the telly, only a bit smaller.

BEEES Robot Wars

BEEES is the University of Bristol Electrical and Electronic Engineering society. Despite not having studied an electrical engineering degree, I am a member of the society and run the Bi-Annual Antweight Robot Wars at the University.

This includes being the maker of our very own house robot: Sir Killabit!

BBC Points West speaks to Bristol Bot Builders & Bristol University Robot Combat Team!

Outreach is important. This is something I am aware of from having held positions working in schools. 
We managed to get BBC Points West to come and talk to some of us about robots!
