Graduate Software/Data Engineer at Lloyds Banking Group (2024 - Present) 

I am proud to say that my current employment is as a Software/Data Engineer in the Finance Platform of Lloyds Banking Group. Despite having worked during the time between my graduation and joining the scheme, I have found this job to be a brilliant introduction to the corporate world/working in a large organisation.

My work currently entails the curation, testing, and delivery of group-wide financial reference data.

The technologies I directly use in this role include:

Computer Science Teaching Technologist - University of Bristol (2023 - 2024)

Teaching Technologist/Technical Specialist of Computer Science.

One of my greatest achievements as part of this role was architecting, delivering, and maintaining a multi-account AWS Environment free at the point of access for Engineering Students. This system is still in-use to this day and has provided a scaffold for hundreds of Undergraduate and Post-Graduate-Taught projects - with both industrial and research focuses.

My role involves providing specialist lectures and workshops on technical content and skills across the faculty of engineering. Primary supported units include:

Offering technical advice, specialist equipment and workshops in the areas of computer science, electronics, aero, rapid prototyping, VR and AR, simulations, and mechanical engineering.

Fintech Simulation Education Engineer (2023)

I have experience developing a multiplayer, multi-agent framework for simulating a continuous double auction, in which bots and humans may compete against each other. 

The project is deployed at the University of Bristol's Financial Technology with Data Science MSc, where it serves as a teaching aid and forms part of their coursework.

The simulation emulates and expands upon the behaviour of Bristol Stock Exchange (BSE), a simple minimal simulation of a limit-order-book financial exchange, developed by Dave Cliff.

The application is written in C# .NET, utilising a Unity frontend for human-use and a Python API for bots.

T-B: Phase AI and Robotics Engineer (2022)

I have experience working in a professional R&D environment during my role at
T-B:Phase – a joint swarm robotics venture between Thales and the University of Bristol. My role leaned towards the engineering end of the team – in which I was responsible for defining the behaviour of AI agents based on that of a machine learning model, and porting said behaviour to a fleet of networked physical robots. This was achieved using a combination of backend languages including C, C++, and Python; facilitated within the ROS (Robot Operating System) framework and using the MMQT message architecture pattern.

My role was as one member of an inter-disciplinary team. As such, I have real world
experience in agile software development using modern practices and tools including JIRA and Git. 
In my last performance review, my T-B:Phase project coordinator described me as
driven, confident, friendly and communicative, as well as a strong problem solver.

A research paper is currently being written, for which I shall be a co-author.
